Four stars because I've only been there once. It was on a Monday, when the Italian Beef Sammich is the special. Had to order it and boy was I pleased; dipped my sandwich and then double wrapped it so it didn't leak into bag. And they had Giardinara too. YES! Fries were very good also. No take out menu available so I guess I will have to back to try a Chicago dog! I drive by this place a lot and I'm very glad I stopped in!
Visited on 6/13/2020. this place gets high marks for the Chicago Italian Beef Combo and Gyros. Nice, heavy sandwiches. Generous with the meat, peppers and juice. Good meat! Wrapped up like a small football! Friendly place, fast. The do a fine job of making food taste Chicago style. Decatur is lucky to have a place like this! I'll be back when I visit again!
I'm from Chicago and I was in Decatur found this place about four years ago taste just like Chicago beef and the combo was delicious and exactly like they say Chicago style the bread was excellent the sausage was good
Ate here today. Got the buy two get one free gyro deal. The gyro I had was pretty good. The service was nice and friendly as well.
Service with a smile. Yummy hot dogs and great fries. 2 kids meals (included drinks and fries) and a regular hot dog and fries for mom. All for under 12$. Looks to have Chicago food needs met in Decatur including the much sought after Pizza puff. I didn't see the Chicago Tamale but hey you win some you lose some. This place is worth the stop.... Oh she's not Latina she's Lebanese. I asked
